ASPA means Automated Solution Production and Aliquoting is a fully automated R&D compound service.

Problem:

• The Client faces an increasing number of orders for powder solutions production. Orders come from different sites around the world, and need to be processed with different priorities.
• This is a challenge for the compound management team, which needs to increase their productivity, sample tracking and sample prioritization to meet the demand and optimize their activities.

Aim:

• Implementation of an automated platform to automize powder weighting and liquid handling activities, as part of a large global initiative.
• The platform aims to reduce results variability, increase the testing capacity, increase the productivity, provide a contained handling of solvent product to minimise the operator exposure, and process vials based on their priority.

• Responsible for system specifications and manage the functional design specification phase of the system implementation.
