The client asked for help to setup a globally automated and digital biorepository.
Problem:
- The enormous number of bio samples (cell lines, plasmids, proteins and antibodies) within the different client sites lacks organization.
- This is a challenge for the scientists, and strongly affects the traceability, effective access and collection of the right bio samples for the intended purpose.
Aim:
- Aim is to create a global virtual and physical solution to manage the handling, the search and retrieval of bio samples, share them across Roche sites and allow the storage and access of their data digitally.
- All workflows that request, generate/register and store bio-samples will be incorporated.
inite’s Role
- Inite created the business case, presented the project idea to the board, lead and managed the DBR project with successful result after 3 failed internal trials.
- Our key success factor was our complementary competency of the appointed team, ranging from IT, business to life science and research.
Value add:
- 10x faster cell registration and availability for use.
- Projected efficiency gain of about 450%.
- Break down silos by sharing latest cell research results.
